This article explains how to complete the Meditate task on the home screen. We will go over the types of meditations you can complete, and how to review past meditations in the app.
Step 1: Find the Meditate Task
The Meditation task will appear on your home screen under the To-Do section, or in the Ad-Hoc Button menu. It will look something like this:
Step 2: Choose Your Meditation: Count Up or Count Down
The meditation activity includes a timer and, in some cases, a prompt for your meditation practice.
You will have two options when it comes to Meditation timers in the app:
1. A timer that counts up and lets you meditate for as long as you need.
2. A timer that counts down and encourages you to meditate for a predetermined amount of time.
If you choose the Count Up meditation, a timer will begin immediately that keeps track of your meditation. Once you have finished, click End Session.
If you choose the Count Down meditation, you will be prompted to set a timer for how long you wish to meditate and how long you wish to rest after your meditation. When you are satisfied with your intervals, press Start.
The meditation timer will begin counting down. If you choose to leave the Pattern Health app during the meditation, the timer will run in the background. Throughout the meditation, you will also have the opportunity to go straight to rest.
The rest timer will begin counting down immediately after the meditation finishes. Once your rest timer runs to zero, you will hear a soft chime.
Step 4: Review Past Meditations
To review past meditations, you can also navigate to the History section and select the Meditation card. You will see how many minutes you have meditated over the past 7 days and how many sessions you have completed in the past 7 days.
If you click on the Meditation card, you will see exactly how long your meditations over the past 7 days or 30 days.
