This article is a part of a series that explains the use of each tab in the participant profile. These profiles will be your primary method for monitoring the individual progress of each participant. When you go into the console, you may or may not be able to see all of the sections/tabs that we discuss in this series. That's okay! It is just due to the way your program has been designed.
In this article, we explain how to review and send messages in the Chat tab in the patient profile.
Patient - Provider Chat
In this section of the participant's profile, you will be able to review the chat messages in the Patient-Provider Chat. As discussed in this article on the chat options in the Pattern Health App, the Patient-Provider Chat is a direct message channel between the participant and the study/clinic team.
Reviewing Patient Messages
When you click on the Chat tab, you will see a channel with the participant's name, the title of the chat (usually the name of the study group), a light blue Private icon (a reminder that this is a private Patient-Provider chat), and a settings icon.
Below this heading, you will see the participant's messages.
Sending a Chat Response
When you send a response to a participant in the Patient-Provider chat, you first have to decide whether you want to post as an anonymous Moderator or as yourself. To do so, click on the circular icon on the left side of the text box.
Type out your message. You may add emojis or deep links to external resources using the buttons to the right of the text box. Then, press send!
