The Pattern Health programs can include goals that clearly outline objectives for participants to work towards over the course of the program. This article reviews what goals look like in the app and how they tie into our systems' incentive framework.
In-App Experience
Goals will appear at the top of a participant's home screen in the app.
When a participant meets the criteria for meeting a goal, they will receive a reward message. The goal will then disappear from their home screen.
Configuring Goals
Goals are configured on a care plan. These goals can be customized for your program. Your goals can change over the course of new phases or remain constant throughout the duration of a program. These goals are set by the providers/study team when designing a plan. They are not set by participants.
Plan builders can associate Goals to the Milestone activity and update Goal status via Rewards in the Incentives framework.
A Goal status can be updated manually, via Rules, or via Reward Actions in the Incentives Framework.
A plan builder can associate Points, US Dollars, or Motivational Reward Types with the fulfillment of a User Goal.
Milestone Activity
When a Goal is added to a Milestone activity, it is automatically added to a Patient (Patient - > Goals).
Completing a Milestone activity (therefore completing all the Achievements associated with the Milestone) within the scheduled time frame triggers the Reward. If a Reward has an ‘Update Status of User Goal’ Reward Action, then on completion of the Milestone activity, the associated User Goal status is updated. This updated status will display in the Patient->Goals tab.
